Quote of the Post (for Elle Cordova)

"But she had already stopped in front of a tall door padded with purple velvet. There were voices on the other side-- eldritch voices, the sort of voices that mere typography will remain totally unable to convey until someone can make a linotype machine with echo-reverb and, possibly, a typeface that looks like something said by a slug."

Terry Pratchett The Light Fantastic, novel

Pratchett had an imagination and sense of humor that was amazing. Find and read his books!   His discworld is one of literature's greatest inventions. For those of you not in the know, Elle Cordova is one of the most talented people on YouTube. I imagine she's also talented elsewhere, and, perhaps, in real life, but I have no first-hand evidence to that effect. In any event, she has perfected a style of intellectual-goofiness that is rarely seen, and almost never to the level she achieves. There is a kinship, I think, with Pratchett's work. Among other things; she's given personalities to various typefaces. Dare I say that she's given faces to typefaces? Yes. I dare. In certain parts of New York, she would be called a pisser. Everywhere else she'd be funny. And, if I had the skills, there would be some links to her channels. But I don't. So there aren't.
